Inverters
Inverters convert DC battery power to standard AC power. They allow you to run regular AC appliances, including TVs, computers, microwaves and power tools. With an inverter your AC loads run off your batteries and they can be used any time of day or night - without a generator - and definitely during a utility power failure. Inverters can be used to give electricity back to the grid.
